In the year following the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, which claimed the lives of eight individuals, including two government ministers, the Ghanaian government has undertaken several initiatives to honor the victims and support their families:
Investigation Report: An investigative board was set up to determine the cause of the crash. The report, released in November 2025, attributed the incident to a sudden loss of altitude and lift due to downdraft, consistent with changing environmental conditions over high terrain. (gna.org.gh)
Children Support Fund: Established to cover the educational needs, medical insurance, and essential living expenses of the victims’ children from primary to tertiary level. Stanbic Bank pledged GH₵500,000 towards this fund. (cdn.af.mil.gh)
